Agra Tech's Continental Greenhouse is a Gothic Gutter Connect structure designed to be covered with poly. A 4' wide continuous single or double ridge vent can be added to provide excellent natural ventilation. Extra large gutters add strength and carry 60% more runoff away from the greenhouse.
The Continental is recommended for all climates, from snow to sun. One of our customers says:
In the winter, our climate can be really challenging - winds in excess of 90 mph and snowfall. We have had 2-3' of snow in the gutters and they have stayed strong - no bowing or bending. These houses are as steady as a rock. ~ Bowdoinham, ME
In California where wind and heat can be the biggest challenges one customer says:
I have two Continental houses and they have the best growing environment of any greenhouse I have ever been in. ~ Watsonville, CA
Another customer says:
Agra Tech has every right to be proud of the Continental. ~ Jerseyville, IL
For now there are 2 widths available, 30' or 40'. Let us know what your needs are and we can make it happen.
Note: Some of you may recognize the name Continental that has been absent for a while from our literature (but still being built). Well it is BACK and updated to meet today's new demands. The roof pitch has been lowered just enough to reduce the new IBC wind loads on it, but it still does a wonderful job of natural ventilation and keeping your crops cool below. The bottom chord will be flat (of course unless you want it arched). Curtain can be flat at the bottom chord or slope-flat-slope.

It hasn't been easy along the way for the Caribe Greenhouse Project. The buildings went through two hurricanes (Maria and Irma) during the construction and according to the company's licensed inspectors and engineers, there was little to no damage to the greenhouses. "The structures were half-built when the storms came, but they held up fairly well, which was impressive," Cabiya said. "They are made with sturdy and reliable components, so they only experienced only a few minor issues."

PlantCentrics is how we at Agra Tech create a greenhouse system that works for you. It simply means that the greenhouse’s functionality is designed around the plant. What does the plant need to thrive? How do the plant’s requirements change? How does the plant move efficiently in and out of the space?
We design the greenhouse and environmental equipment around the benches and the benches around the plant’s needs.
It’s about the plant AND your growing technique and business plan. It can be traditional hands-on or highly automated. Shipping, receiving, and processing are taken into consideration. All this is taken into account so that you end up with the best performing greenhouse system possible.

Tagawa West Coast Growers (now called Ball Tagawa Growers)needed to replace a fixed shade house with roll-A-roof opening roof system on a structure that matched their existing greenhouse. The bench trays needed to be transported from the old house to the new house and then out the endwall when ready.
Emerisa has several different styles of Agra Tech structures, Cold Frames, Thermolators, and Insulators. They recently retrofitted some of their double poly Insulator houses with roll-A-roof to provide a total open-air environment for some crops. This also provides an excellent area for customers to browse either under cover or with the roofs open.
